LORI KNIGHT, MA, LMHC

Lorri works with individuals and families who are grieving or recovering from trauma, dealing with conflicts, or life changes and transitions. She has a special ability to sit with people through their tears and sadness, providing space for their feelings and room for their expression. She acts as a sounding board to help clients (young adults through seniors) get in touch with the feelings they are avoiding or cannot move beyond.

As a therapist, Lorri is dedicated to psycho-dynamic modalities in her practice, believing that childhood experiences shape our emotions as we grow. She incorporates neuroscience findings to encourage behavioral changes through the creation of new neuropathways. Lorri also uses many methods with clients, including journaling and writing, sand tray therapy, and art projects.

A firm believer in the healing power of nature, she would prescribe everyone a healthy dose of it if she could, having worked as a river guide and ski instructor before becoming a therapist.
